Raghib Allie-Brennan is a Democratic candidate running to bring renewed energy and fresh ideas to Connecticut’s 2nd Assembly District.
In his first term representing Bethel, Danbury, Redding, and Newtown, Raghib has brought fresh ideas and perspectives to Hartford. He kept his promise to get the job done for us. Whether supporting small businesses, fixing the budget crisis, advocating for public education, or investing in Connecticut’s green energy future, Raghib has a deep understanding of our community’s needs.
Raised in Bethel, Raghib graduated from Bethel Public Schools and worked his way to becoming a Congressional advisor in the U.S. House of Representatives. Here he developed an in-depth understanding of energy and environmental issues and emergency response/disaster relief.
As our State Representative, he has worked to gain bipartisan support for legislation. Raghib has also served as the Vice President of the HERO Project, which raises awareness and resources to combat the opioid epidemic in the Danbury area.
“Over the past two years, it has been an honor to serve as your State Representative. When I ran for this seat, it was always to make sure that ALL 2nd District residents could have a voice in Hartford, and a seat at the table. Together, we have accomplished a lot in two short years. But we are just getting started, which is why I hope to continue the work that we are doing in Hartford, and why I’m asking for your vote this November.”
